I think that math mode is introducing an additional layer of complexity, since it seems that Mathjax captures the content of math-mode environments even before much other processing happens. But that is still a useful reference! (Also, let me acknowledge that this is an extremely vague question—I was trying to document some behaviour that I had observed, but it seemed to be changing in unpredictable-by-me ways.) | |
