If in addition to the document or translation request, there is an accompanying useful or interesting idea, then I would not mind so much. If there were a way to "file" such requests so that they did not clog the main views of MathOverflow, then I think it would be useful to retain those. Perhpas it is worth mentioning the distinction (and dicussing this type of request too). Similarly, requests for the existance of translations. | |
