Can/should we tell people that AI cut and paste answers are not welcome?
I think that AI generated answers can be OK as long as it is stated, that it is an AI generated answer and that the user clearly states what the user has done to verify its correctness. Why someone would post an AI generated question is beyond me, well maybe it is a good way for non-native English speakers to improve the grammar. Maybe I should try it.

Is it fine to repost questions from a paper
Well counterexamples or references are somewhat easier to write down then proofs. But this is true for any question asked. My point was more that this touches the self-promotion part.

Using mathoverflow as a blog
I am certainly guilty of 4. It happens quite often that I seem to be stuck somewhere, then I force myself to turn this into a precise question and afterwards an idea appears. I think this is more common and maybe not even a bad thing.

`positive-characteristic` and `characteristic-p` are synonyms
The characteristic of a ring could also be a non-prime number, so I don't see how these tags are strictly synonymous (not knowing whether there are really questions about rings with characteristic 6).

Well-received but unanswered Math SE question; should I consider posting it here or requesting migration?
The purpose of this linking is to avoid the situation where the same question has an answer on one of the pages and then someone finds the open question on the other page and spends time thinking about an already answered question.
