This is a long standing bug that happens with code-formatted markdown in comments too. Just noting that we've seen this, but I'm not sure about a fix.

Well, it's that, and we like to have any correspondence with users available to all diamonds (mods and staff), in case we need to reference it. My other concern is picking up on communication via email, and it never finding its way back to where others can find it.

Note that the best way to accept a nomination is to head over to the election page and nominate yourself. Feel free to link to the nomination here when you write your proper nomination on the main site. You aren't technically eligible for the position until you have nominated there.

Recalcs are no longer necessary, rep is basically real time on SE 2.0 :) If the status is removed, any rep change should take an almost (within the minute) immediate effect.

@ScottMorrison We're close to trying it on a couple of sites beyond SO, we want to see how effective it actually is. If it tests well, then we can probably make this happen for you

Checking on the possibility of this now, will get back with a proper answer (or implementation) soon.

I'm going to bring this up internally to see if views have changed. It's still something you should earn, but we keep that, as you can only see vote counts on your own posts. Please be patient, it'll be about a week before we meet again for feature stuff.
