Has MO been reduced to an AI training service, and if so what should we do about it?
Just out of curiosity, what use pattern of MO exposes a user to a palpable amount of AI generated posts/answers? I personally mostly browse the front page under the "Active" tab. The AI stuff that I see doesn't feel like a flood, and what I see has usually already been acted on by other users or mods.

MO answer formalized in Lean
Great! I would welcome the trend, if more people do this kind of thing.

Suggestions for the design of a font for math articles/books
In some literature on the geometry of PDEs the Cyrillic capital letter Э is used to denote "evolutionary vector fields" on a jet bundle.

MathOverflow related ICM satellite event (2022)?
Personally, I don't agree that such fears are fully rational. But, from my interactions with colleagues, they certainly exist and are subjectively real in people's minds.

MathOverflow related ICM satellite event (2022)?
Independent of any ICM activities, I've been told by some MathOverflow-shy colleagues that a public time-localized event focused on MO would encourage them to participate. Such an idea answers two semi-rational fears: (a) their question would appear trivial to experts and scoffed at, (b) nobody will notice it, leaving it forever unanswered in the MO archives. A call to people to both ask and answer questions in a specific time period would (a) mask a (potentially) lower quality post among many new ones and (b) increase the chance for the right expert see it at the right time.

What do we mean by welcoming when we're a site aimed at researchers?
For instance, how did your initial perception (from that question) weigh these two extremes? (-) Your question is not "interesting," here's an answer to an "interesting" question you should have asked. (+) I don't know the answer to your question, but it's interesting enough for me give some feedback; here's my best guess at some information that might be relevant. What could have made your initial perception more positive? My own weighing, as an experienced MO user, would be 10%(-) 90%(+) or better. Others should feel free to share their perception, to get at least some anecdotal data.

@Buzz, Thank you for sharing your experience. I think it is valuable to enrich the current discussion with concrete examples, like yours. Obviously, your perception of the feedback from MO (say on the regularization question) would be different from that of an experience and somewhat successful user (like those commenting here, myself included). Perhaps it is worth nailing down that difference. Any open ended question may attract answers and comments that don't go in the direction intended by the OP. But the same feedback may be perceived differently. ...

Customize the modal window for the first-time askers
@MartinSleziak, thanks for adding the context. I will be the first to admit that this list is subjective and probably not complete if one were try to imagine a perfect 'Clippy' for MO. I'm glad to hear that at least 2. is partially implemented. I would side with turning it on, if that's still under discussion.
