Some changes to questions, such as edits or receiving new answers, will "bump" them back onto the site's front page where the changes can be vetted by other users.

Giving a question a recent "activity" though nothing is visible?
It happens occasionally that a question is marked "Active: Today" but clicking on this doesn't show any recent activity.
